COVİD 19

ASTERA GRUP COVİD-19 BİLGİLENDİRME
As is known, the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has continued to spread around the world since December 2019. It has been documented that over 19 million people worldwide and over 200 thousand people in our country have been affected by this disease, and it has caused over 700 thousand deaths in the world and nearly 6 thousand in our country.
As in the rest of the world, in our country, too, attempts have been made to control the spread and effects of the disease through quarantine and similar strict measures, and as of July 1, 2021, the process of re-normalization (re-opening) has begun in our country.
As is known, COVID-19 is transmitted through droplets released when patients or people who carry the virus without showing symptoms cough, sneeze, speak, and even breathe. While the disease is transmitted by inhaling these droplets containing the virus and contact with the eyes, it can also be transmitted indirectly by touching surfaces contaminated with these droplets and then touching the mouth, nose, and eyes without washing hands.
It should not be forgotten that people who do not yet show symptoms of the disease or who have the disease with very mild symptoms or no symptoms at all also have the risk of transmitting this disease. Also, considering that different individuals can transmit the disease with very different symptoms and clinical presentations as well as different severities, it is clear that there is a risk of transmission, as in other environments where people come together.
As is often said, when we say ‘return to normal’, we should perceive a completely new ‘normal’. We have to change our habits such as shaking hands, hugging, kissing, chatting at close range, and getting together in groups with our friends, loved ones or acquaintances as we did in the past.
Under these conditions, all necessary precautions have been taken in our company, where the frequently updated guidelines and directives of the Ministry of Health, as well as the publications of international scientific organizations, are followed and updates are made as necessary.
We hope to be together in solidarity on healthy days, hoping that this difficult process can be passed in a healthy way.
